Job Description:

  • Deliver in-house training to ensure participants acquire knowledge and understanding prior to departure and joining a vessel.
  • Design and update training materials to meet evolving maritime industry standards and/or principal's instruction.
  • Maintain and keep accurate training records, attendance, and required reports for monitoring and documentation purposes for all trainings conducted.
  • Responsible for ensuring the required reports are prepared and submitted to the Training Manager.
  • Promote and enforce company policies during in-house training.
  • Other work-related duties as may be assigned by the Training Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferably Licensed Deck/Engine Officer (Operational Level);
  • Preferably holder of IMO MC 6.09;
  • At least two (2) years seagoing experience as a Deck/Engine Officer;
  • At least one (1) year experience as an Instructor in Maritime Training and Education;
  • Able to demonstrate competence in teaching techniques;
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
