Junior Web QA Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and driven Junior Web Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Scrum team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our product by working closely with development teams and stakeholders.

A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies, as well as experience in automation testing using tools like Cypress, JMeter, Postman, or Selenium. You should also have a good understanding of common UI/UX principles, paradigms, and user journeys.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own functional, regression, and acceptance testing of web applications to ensure layout, interface usability, and user experience improvements.
  • Participate in the software development life cycle from beginning to end, including creating and executing test plans for existing products and features.
  • Work with development teams to define testing protocols for new features as they are designed and developed.
  • Provide additional cross-functional test support for other team members.
  • Develop test scenarios from requirements and ensure maximum requirement traceability.
  • Provide detailed bug reports to the Engineering Team.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Developers, QA Lead) to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor debugging process results and investigate the causes of non-conforming software.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience. Experience working on web protocols and data formats is an advantage.
