About the Role

The Retail Operations Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading the team in achieving sales targets in stores, managing stock levels, and ensuring customer engagement. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retail / Net Sales: Achieve sales targets in stores, monitor sales performance, ensure timely encoding of retail sales, collaborate with Brand teams and Key Accounts on promotional activities, work with the Brand/ Marketing team on sales support.
  • Stock Management: Maintain optimal stock levels, ensure availability of key SKUs, manage inventory visibility, coordinate with Finance on regular audits, reconcile stock discrepancies, track expiring products, and coordinate with Sales Ops on promotions.
  • Customer Engagement Officer: Recruit, train, and performance-monitor Customer Engagement Officers (CEOs), ensure CEOs are well-groomed, place CEOs in stores according to allocation, validate daily time records, and work with cross-functional teams to execute sales incentive programs.
  • Visual Merchandising: Develop and implement visual merchandising plans, ensure brand planograms are followed, execute new product launches, conduct regular VM checks, and maintain display organization.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Monitor and report CRM KPIs, track CEO performance, and ensure awareness of targets and achievements.
  • Sales Recording and Reconciliation: Implement and enforce sales process integrity, validate sales with the agency, coordinate with Marketing on campaign codes, and monitor manual order slips.
  • Retail Excellence / Retail Audit: Coordinate with regional retail operations on Retail Excellence framework roll-out and audit, ensuring excellent execution of all processes.
