Job Title: Cloud Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing robust backend systems and APIs behind high-performing applications.

You will work with Python, SQL, and AWS to deliver scalable solutions that meet the needs of our business. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining high-performance backend systems and APIs built for speed and growth.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also be working closely with our frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to align backend architecture with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs built for speed and growth.
  • Build and manage secure, reliable, and efficient public-facing APIs.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines that power continuous integration and deployment.
  • Implement best-in-class monitoring and observability with tools like Datadog or New Relic.
  • Partner with frontend developers, product teams, and stakeholders to align backend architecture with business goals.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of backend development experience, building and scaling public-facing APIs.
  • Proficiency in Python, with solid experience in Flask or FastAPI.
  • Highly skilled in SQL and PostgreSQL, and ideally PostGIS for geospatial data.
  • Experience with spatial mapping tools (like Mapbox) or GIS concepts.
  • Secure, scalable, and performant RESTful API design.
  • AWS environment expertise (API Gateway, Lambda, Serverless) and shipping production-ready systems.
  • Microservices and event-driven workflow understanding, including webhooks.
  • Observability with real-world experience using Datadog, New Relic, or similar.
  • CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
