Job Title: Test Analyst

Job Summary:

Drake International Philippines is seeking a skilled Test Analyst to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of testing principles, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various types of testing on the Core Applications, associated utilities/facilities, FAS, and Connectivity Projects, including Sanity Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Co-Existence Testing, Migration Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on Test/Model environments, and document test results through Release Forms;

• Use software-testing tools to improve and automate the testing process cycle;

• Perform type approval testing for hardware and third-party software on functionality, compatibility/reliability, and performance with LTO-IT Core Applications, FAS, and Connectivity Projects, and document test results through SQA Test Report Forms;

• Identify, verify, and validate required test documents, and create or report defects to the Sr. SQA Engineer/SQA Engineer for review;

• Monitor and follow-up on the status of reported defects with Applications Development Analysts/Web Applications Development Analysts until closure, and prepare Release Forms for documentation;

• Identify, verify, and validate required test documents and create or report requirement clarifications to the Sr. SQA Engineer/SQA Engineer for review;

• Identify, verify, and validate required test documents and create or report hardware incompatibility issues or other hardware-related issues to the Sr. Technical QA Engineer for review and recommendation;

• Replicate production/site-reported errors or issues in QA-test environments with detailed step-by-step procedures and screenshots provided;

• Escalate application issues to Sr. SQA Engineer/SQA Engineer and hardware issues or those related to incompatibility, reliability, and hardware functionality to Sr. Technical QA Engineer;

• Check parameter values/variables used by Applications Development Analysts/Web Applications Development Analysts in filling up the Request for System Update (RSU) scripts to ensure correctness of data update once implemented; and,

• Create and prepare SQA testing reports, Build Status reports, monthly module accomplishments, and other QA-related ad-hoc reports, and submit to the Sr. SQA Engineer/SQA Engineer.

Qualifications:

• College graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any IT-related course;

• At least 2 years of experience as a Test Analyst;

• No licensure or certification required but having certifications is an advantage;

• Experience on Agile Methodologies, Selenium, and DevOps is an advantage;

• Knowledge in basic programming and SQL;

• Reports to the office every day during probationary period (6 months), but once regular, once a week reporting;
