Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineering leader to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the development of Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Architect and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, leveraging its full potential to streamline deployments and reduce errors.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to provide real-time visibility into infrastructure and application performance.
• Establish and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements across cloud resources, maintaining the highest standards of data protection.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability, aligning with business objectives.
• Develop disaster recovery and high availability strategies to ensure business continuity in case of critical service outages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including full-stack engineers and data engineers, to support application deployment needs and drive innovation.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and infrastructure management processes, minimizing manual intervention and improving productivity.
• Implement and maintain secrets management and access control systems, ensuring secure authentication and authorization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
• Create comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures, ensuring knowledge sharing and consistency.
• Lead incident response efforts for production infrastructure issues, driving swift resolution and minimizing downtime.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, managing teams and projects effectively.
• Proficiency in top tools: AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and implementation in cloud environments, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure.
• Expertise in Kubernetes administration, deployment, and troubleshooting, with a focus on automation and optimization.
• Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining systems compliant with ISO 27001 and other security frameworks, such as SOC 2, NIST 800-53, or HIPAA requirements.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EKS, IAM, S3, RDS, EC2) and container technologies (Docker), with a strong focus on security and compliance.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and orchestration, ensuring efficient workflow and process management.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions, providing real-time insights into system performance and behavior.
• Experience with security best practices and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) for explaining complex technical concepts.
• Demonstrated proficiency with preferred development environment (Mac or Linux) for infrastructure management and DevOps workflows, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Ability to collaborate synchronously with team members during core hours (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM US Eastern Time) while respecting work-life balance and prioritizing individual well-being.
