Job Description

Azeus Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Application Security Expert to join our team. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks associated with Web and Mobile applications.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Vulnerability Identification: Identify vulnerabilities in Web and Mobile applications using penetration testing techniques, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Remediation Planning: Develop remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective mitigation strategies are implemented.
  • Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate operational security risks and ensure business continuity, minimizing the risk of security breaches.
  • Incident Response: Conduct technical investigations on security incidents and develop strategies for incident response and recovery, ensuring timely resolution of security incidents.
  • User Communication: Communicate security-related information and concerns to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and trust, and providing recommendations for improving security posture.
Collaboration with Blue Team:
  • Security Best Practices: Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring secure coding practices and secure deployment methodologies.
  • Automated Vulnerability Detection: Design and implement workflows to automate vulnerability detection and remediation, reducing the risk of security breaches and improving overall security posture.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and prioritize potential security threats, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies are in place, and minimizing the risk of security breaches.
  • Threat Modelling: Facilitate threat modelling activities to identify and prioritize potential security threats, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are implemented, and minimizing the risk of security breaches.
  • Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices and industry regulations, improving overall security posture.
  • Certification Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry certifications such as ISO 27001 and SOC Type 2 by implementing necessary controls and procedures, minimizing the risk of security breaches.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in application security testing and assessments, with expertise in penetration testing and vulnerability management.
  • Cybersecurity Principles: In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, standards, and protocols, including OWASP Top 10 and SANS Critical Security Controls.
  • Tools and Technologies: Proficiency in application security tools such as Burpsuite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, and Sonarqube, with experience in Ghidra or IDA being a plus.
  • Programming Languages: Strong experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C/C++, and experience with scripting languages such as bash or Powershell.
  • Cloud Solutions: Experience and knowledge of cloud solutions and architectures, including AWS.
  • SIEM Technologies: Experience and knowledge of SIEM technologies.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, strong sense of ownership, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant technical and industry certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP are a plus.
