About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial function, including timely preparation and submission of accurate financial statements, strict adherence to statutory compliance and regulatory guidelines.

They will also oversee budgeting and cost control, including preparing, managing, and analyzing annual budgets, as well as identifying and implementing cost-reduction opportunities. Maintaining adequate liquidity and managing cash flow effectively, they will ensure timely management of payables and receivables.

The Controller and Financial Leader will implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, proactively identifying financial risks and developing mitigation strategies. Coordination with auditors and ensuring smooth external audits, resolving audit findings and implementing recommendations is also a key responsibility.

Furthermore, they will provide financial analyses to support business decisions and growth initiatives, evaluating investments and strategic projects. They will also lead and develop the finance team, providing regular feedback, training, and support to team members, ensuring they achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and align with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), IFRS, and local taxation, as well as proficiency in financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and forecasting. They should be skilled in budget planning, financial modeling, and cost management, and able to provide insights that guide business decisions.

Able to simplify complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders, the candidate should possess strong analytical capability to interpret financial data accurately. They should be skilled in using financial data to forecast trends and evaluate financial risks, experience using accounting and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Microsoft).
