Linux Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Linux Software Engineer to join our team in a dynamic and exciting engineering role, focusing on the development and maintenance of software solutions for Linux-based infrastructure and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes and other open source software
  • Collaborate closely with our Field, Support, and product engineering teams
  • Participate in upstream communities and contribute to the growth of open-source software
  • Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and work with upstream for inclusion
  • Review code produced by other engineers
  • Demonstrate sound technical judgment in methods and techniques
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently against those priorities
  • Contribute to team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation
  • Maintain clear, concise, and technical communications
Requirements:
  • An exceptional academic track record and background in Computer Science, STEM, or similar fields
  • Experience with Linux and open-source software, as well as at least one programming language such as Python, Go, C, or C++ on Linux
  • A drive to learn unfamiliar technology and deep-dive into difficult issues
