The role of an Electrical Systems Designer involves overseeing all electrical work-related activities, creating assessment reports, designs and estimates. This is a full-time project-based position at our office in Subic Bay.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Designs new construction, renovations and improvements of the shipyard's electrical systems.
  • Interprets and adapts traditional methods to develop design calculations, layouts, drawings and specifications that support project objectives and standards.
  • Responsible for selected electrical inspections, quality control and submittal reviews beyond the expertise of construction managers.
  • Develops cost estimates and time schedules as well as technical specifications; electrical methodology as needed.
  • Reviews and analyzes preliminary and final designs, plans and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy.
  • Performs detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
  • Inspects installations and observes operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering software (AutoCAD) to perform engineering tasks as assigned.
  • Supports Contract management and Planning divisions with scope, programming and scheduling definition.
  • Stays current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer
  • 3-5 years of design and field experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other Microsoft Office Applications
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Has an innovative approach to utilize new technologies and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
