Job Overview

HOLA PARADE is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Master Pastry Artisan, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite desserts and confections that exceed our customers' expectations.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that requires flexibility, creativity, and attention to detail. You will work closely with our team to develop new recipes, design seasonal menus, and ensure the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage the pastry section of our kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality products.
  • Prepare ingredients and handle baking and other kitchen equipment with precision and care.
  • Create pastries, baked goods, and confections that are visually stunning and delicious.
  • Develop new recipes for seasonal menus, incorporating fresh flavors and creative ideas.
  • Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
  • Monitor the stock of baking ingredients and order new supplies as needed.
  • Ensure your section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
  • Supervise and train staff members as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Training at a culinary institution.
  • A certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or a relevant field.
  • 2 or more years' experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role.
  • Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process.
  • Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating cakes and other desserts.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production environment.
