Job Description

The Chief Financial Operations Officer will be responsible for leading the financial operations team and ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the monthly closing process to ensure complete and accurate data.
  • Maintaining 100% accuracy in entries, with no corrections upon submission.
  • Ensuring 100% accuracy in expenses tagging, aligning with employee advisories and WITOM/DAR submissions.
  • Resolving discrepancies between bank and book transactions, with correct tagging in the book.
  • Billing expenses to Executives and Employees on time.
  • Performing intercompany billing of advances affiliates from LPI on schedule.

Additionally, the role involves:

  • Paying BIR EFPS payments without delay, meeting due dates.
  • Processing e2M payments promptly, with a focus on same-day completion.
  • Preparing monthly financial schedules based on closing calendars.
  • Generating bad debts provisions and inventory revaluations before trial balance finalization.
  • Preparation of Month End Schedules within 5 working days after month-end closure.
  • Submission of Consolidated FS reports as needed, based on closing calendars.
  • Quarterly analysis of balance sheet exposures, drafting resolution plans within 5 days before quarter end.
  • Cleaning up chart of accounts and aligning BS items.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with statutory and corporate requirements:

  • Providing yearly audit schedules to external auditors on or before due dates.
  • Maintaining 100% remittance rate for VAT, EWT, and IT payments to the BIR.
  • Achieving zero adverse audit findings or major adjustments.
  • Filing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns and reports to relevant authorities.
  • Submitting BS review schedules within one week of receipt.

As part of the team, you will also contribute to business support functions:

  • Reviewing and checking CVs/JVs within 2 working days.
  • Ensuring manual and automatic clearing of open GL accounts before trial balance finalization.
  • Closing SAP modules at period-end closure of books on schedule.
  • Providing significant assistance in overseeing and completing external financial audits.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal financial and operational controls.
