Freelance Peer Reviewer Role

The role of a Freelance Peer Reviewer is to assess and provide constructive feedback on academic manuscripts in the field of biochemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess Novelty: Evaluate whether the manuscript presents original research and contributes new insights to the field of study.
  • Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Assess whether the study design and methods are comprehensive, clearly described, and can be accurately reproduced.
  • Literature Review: Check if the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant research in the field.
  • Analyze Results and Conclusions: Evaluate whether the results are presented clearly and appropriately, and whether the conclusions are supported by the data.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer suggestions for improvement or highlight any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in biochemistry or a related field.
  • At least two publications in the last two years in the field.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
