Configuration Manager Lead

Overview of the Role:

The Configuration Manager Lead is a key position responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of endpoint configurations across the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise in endpoint management solutions, including Intune, Azure, and Office 365.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current endpoint infrastructure to identify design, health, and functionality issues.
  • Design and implement Intune configuration and compliance policies.
  • Develop overall strategy for endpoint management service and drive continuous improvement.
  • Optimize endpoint management processes, including provisioning, OS updates, security patch deployment, and third-party software delivery.
  • Generate reports using UEM data to support asset management activities.
  • Deliver training to primary users on UEM configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver training to infrastructure teams on maintaining newly deployed UEM infrastructure.
  • Oversee the team responsible for endpoint management.
  • Ensure endpoint services meet business demands.
  • Act as point of escalation for endpoint-related incidents.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to endpoint management, service requests, and endpoint inventory/lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with enterprise endpoint management platforms as a technical lead.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting systems and infrastructure related to endpoint management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft networks at operating system level, file/directory security, and user account level.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including translating business needs into application and operational requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive command of at least one programming/scripting language (PowerShell, Python, etc.) and ability to write code independently.
  • At least one relevant Microsoft certification.
