Software Engineering Talent Sourcer Role

Kofi Group helps startups in the USA and Canada find skilled software engineering talent.

This role involves finding, engaging, and qualifying highly technical candidates for startup clients. You'll partner closely with our recruitment team to uncover hidden talent using various sourcing methods.

Main Responsibilities
  • Partner with recruiters to understand client needs, candidate personas, and role requirements for backend engineers, full stack engineers, infrastructure, AI/ML, and product management positions.
  • Develop targeted sourcing strategies across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Slack/Discord groups, and other niche platforms.
  • Proactively engage and follow up with passive candidates who possess the required skills and qualifications.
  • Stay up-to-date on engineering hiring trends, emerging technologies, and talent market dynamics to refine sourcing strategies continuously.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in technical sourcing or recruiting, specifically sourcing software engineers.
  • Strong track record with LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search; familiarity with GitHub, Stack Overflow, AngelList, and other technical communities is a plus.
  • Understanding of software engineering roles, skills, and terminology.
