About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Engineer to join our team at Trends Group, Inc.

Job Summary:

">
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of data center facilities equipment.
  • They will also be involved in troubleshooting electrical equipment using diagrams, coordinating with contractors and clients, and monitoring work quality.
  • In addition, they will perform installations, cable pulling, and other tasks as required by management.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of Laws, Executive Orders, and DOE Department Circulars involving Renewable Energy.

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as a technical advisor for technical issues involving EV Charger, Solar PV, BESS, and related technologies.
  2. Troubleshoot electrical equipment using diagrams.
  3. Coordinate and escalate with Principal and sub-contractors for the issues of the electrical equipment until resolved.
  4. Monitor work and check the quality of installation by sub-contractors for electrical systems in accordance with Principal Standards and pertinent codes.
  5. Perform installation and positioning of EV Charger, Solar PV, BESS, and related technologies as well as Data Center Facilities related equipment.
  6. Install Cable Trays/wire ways and panel boards and cable pulling of electrical and/or communication cables.
  7. Effectively coordinate all technical activities on assigned projects between TG-DCF Systems Engineer, Sub-Contractors, Project Manager, Principal, and clients.
  8. Implement the plans and schedule of engineering works accordingly.
  9. Display a good level of technical expertise or experience and establish credibility with customers.
  10. Collaborate and work cohesively and effectively with the sales resource team, as well as within TG – Data Center Facilities.
  11. Attend and participate in meeting requests and other technical-related events.
  12. Prepare As-Built documentation.
  13. Prepare incident reports and/or RCA (Root Cause Analysis) to explain to clients how issues were resolved and what the causes are.
  14. Perform other tasks assigned by the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in solar electrical installation and quantity survey/estimate.
  • Background in solar facilities construction.
  • Background with data center facilities equipment is advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of Laws, Executive Orders, and DOE Department Circulars involving Renewable Energy, specifically for Solar PV, including but not limited to Renewable Energy Act of 2008 (RA9513), Energy Efficiency and Conversion Act (RA11285), and EOs on Solar Rooftop and Self Consumption Applications.
  • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD.
  • Candidates with certifications from Data Center Facility Equipment, EV Charger, Solar PV, BESS, and related technologies manufacturers have an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a licensed electrical engineer.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD (2D/3D).
  • Knowledgeable in electrical/mechanical standards (Local and International).
  • Proficient in using solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, SAM, etc).
