Website Developer Role

We are seeking a skilled and creative Website Developer to design, build, and maintain websites using Squarespace. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the platform's capabilities and a keen eye for design.

About the Job

This full-time role is focused on creating professional and visually appealing websites through Squarespace. You will work collaboratively with clients or project managers to understand and implement design and functional requirements.

  • Develop new websites from scratch and redesign existing sites using Squarespace's native design features, templates, and e-commerce functionality.
  • Collaborate with clients or project managers to deliver high-quality, custom-designed websites that meet their business needs.
  • Apply modern design principles and best practices for typography, color theory, and layout to create engaging, branded websites.
  • Manage website projects from initial concept through to final launch, ensuring timely completion and meeting all deadlines.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure websites are fully functional, responsive, and optimized for different devices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in Squarespace development and website design, with a portfolio of previous work to demonstrate proficiency.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in website development.
  • Deep proficiency with the Squarespace platform, including its native design features, templates, and e-commerce functionality.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design choices and collaborate effectively with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
