Job Duties

  • Create intricate background line art from scratch using storyboards or layouts as reference.
  • Add creative flourishes to elevate the design beyond its initial form.
  • Employ reference images and art materials to color the backgrounds while preserving the original line art.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth integration with character animations.
  • Maintain exceptional quality standards, even under time-sensitive deadlines, demonstrating dedication and attention to detail.
  • Utilize Photoshop to craft remarkable backgrounds for Japanese animation projects.

Essential Skills

  • A sharp eye for detail and the ability to refine your work.
  • A genuine passion for Japanese 2D content, encompassing anime, manga, and games.
  • Interest or experience in photography, particularly capturing compelling scenes.
  • Equal enthusiasm for line art and coloring.
  • Open to artists at various stages of their careers, from novice to experienced professionals.
