Job Summary:

This role is focused on investigating and resolving production failures, customer returns, and other internal requests by utilizing advanced electronics equipment and tools.

About the Position:

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of circuit schematics and layouts, as well as experience with failure analysis procedures to identify root causes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform failure analysis on production failures, customer returns, qualification failures, and other internal requests using advanced electronics equipment.
  • Develop expertise in operating FA tools such as X-ray, SEM-EDX, FTIR, CSAM, and other related tools.
  • Analyze circuit schematics and layouts to apply failure analysis procedures and identify root causes.
  • Compose comprehensive technical reports including charts and photographs.
  • Resolve complex issues through creative and practical approaches.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Review CFA requests and FA reports to plan detailed Failure Analysis steps.
  • Assign tasks to the team and follow up to review analysis results.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering field, preferably Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor failure analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience of semiconductor process and assembly.
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment, oscilloscope, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, IR thermal, SEM-EDX equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel software.
  • Ability to develop and present reports/presentations effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all business levels.
  • Proactive approach, persistence, and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Prioritize jobs according to requirements and complete work in a timely manner.
