Senior Compliance Manager Role Overview:
The Senior Compliance Manager oversees operational compliance, strategically plans, and leads regulatory compliance activities related to current and future state. This role involves monitoring policies and procedures, confirming mandatory training completion, and continuously monitoring laws, regulations, standards, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance. The role also actively participates in risk mitigation to identify potential issues and develop robust mitigation plans.
This position supports the Compliance Director in ensuring activities comply with government regulations, contractual commitments, ethical standards, and TaskUs policies and values.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to establish, implement, and monitor compliance programs and activities per client and TaskUs requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
- Organize, monitor, and create policies and procedures to support operational compliance and policy management.
- Provide leadership for operational audits, review final client responses, and approve document release.
- Maintain good working relationships with clients, auditors, department stakeholders, and internal team members.
- Perform and complete audits to meet client, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, isolate potential risks or liabilities, and develop mitigation plans.
- Assess timely contractual, financial, or legal implications of changing policies or practices that might lead to non-compliance.
- Work with other departments to address non-compliance issues effectively and efficiently.
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Prepare compliance reports as needed.
- Provide input to senior leadership and management teams on business operations relating to investment, risks, and policy development where necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulatory compliance, accreditation role; at least two of those years focused on contractual compliance.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership position with direct responsibility for managing staff.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA, Waste, Fraud, and Abuse, FCA, PCI DSS, ISO 2700x, ISO 223001, SOC 2, SOX, and Data Protection.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-function collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle private, sensitive, and confidential information appropriately.
- Solid research and interviewing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within established deadlines.
