Knowledge Management Professional

The Knowledge Management Professional is a strategic leader responsible for the overall vision, governance, and continuous improvement of an organization's IT knowledge management ecosystem. Leveraging industry best practices in knowledge management, this role requires deep technical acumen, exceptional linguistic proficiency, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable knowledge for diverse audiences.

This role entails leading and managing the knowledge management function within an organization, ensuring that the knowledge base is up-to-date, accessible, and effectively utilized. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in IT operational roles, specifically in Systems Administration, IT Support/infrastructure, and ServiceNow experience is preferred.

The key responsibilities of this role include defining, implementing, and continuously improving the IT knowledge management strategy and processes, aligning with ITIL v4 and KCS v6 principles. This involves acting as the process owner for knowledge management, developing and managing the knowledge management framework, including policies, procedures, and guidelines for content creation, review, and lifecycle management.

In addition, the Knowledge Management Professional will oversee the entire knowledge article lifecycle, from acquisition and creation to storage, organization, distribution, and utilization. They will ensure that knowledge articles are accurate, timely, relevant, and consistent in language and structure, providing expert feedback on technicalities such as grammar, syntax, punctuation, and overall English language quality.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for knowledge management and automation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage, influence, and build strong relationships with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership. Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify knowledge gaps, and drive continuous improvement are also essential.

Beyond these requirements, the role demands a proven track record of driving cultural change and fostering a knowledge-sharing environment within an organization. Experience with leading Knowledge Management platforms and ITSM tools is also desirable.
