Earthmoving Machinery Technician

We are seeking a skilled Earthmoving Workshop Engineer to join our team. As an integral part of our Earth Moving After Sales department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment brought into the workshop.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Conduct routine pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of new machines.
• Fitting factory-approved and locally supplied extras to machines as required.
• Modifying machines according to guidelines and specifications.
• Performing all forms of repair and servicing to machines.
• Contributing to the repair, overhaul, and diagnosis of plant equipment.
• Maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and supporting others where needed.
• Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements.
• Supporting administration tasks and ensuring paperwork is completed effectively and on time.
• Communicating clearly with customers and colleagues to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Contributing to the success of apprenticeship programs by mentoring engineering apprentices.
• Ensuring quality work standards are maintained consistently.

• Satisfactory completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a related industry or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
• Able to demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
