Lead Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing solar photovoltaic systems, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design detailed designs and layouts for solar PV systems, including the selection of appropriate solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Helioscope to create accurate and efficient system designs.
  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and standards.
  • Perform energy yield simulations and financial modeling to predict the performance and economic viability of solar projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering; Registered Electrical Engineer.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on solar energy and Design Engineering.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing solar projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local statutory rules and regulations related to solar energy projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Technical expertise in solar energy systems and technologies.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
