We are seeking passionate and tech-savvy educators to join our team of experienced professionals who deliver engaging, hands-on science learning during SpaceCon – our mobile science experience.

As a STEM lecturer, you will work with a dynamic team to bring space, Earth, and modern STEM topics directly to schools across the country.

The role involves traveling to different locations to facilitate SpaceCon events, ensuring that communities have access to quality education programs that foster curiosity and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate face-to-face science and/or math discussions during SpaceCon events, promoting active learning and encouraging students to ask questions.
  • Operate interactive STEM-based equipment, tools, and digital programs, leveraging technology to enhance student engagement.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to create and implement interdisciplinary learning activities, driving innovation and creativity in the classroom.
  • Contribute to educational content planning, including visual aids and multimedia support, to ensure that all materials are engaging and effective.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance teaching and communication skills, staying updated on best practices and research-based methodologies.
  • Stay current on STEM trends and topics to ensure content quality and relevance, continuously refining your expertise to meet the evolving needs of students and educators alike.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Graduate of any STEM-related course (e.g., Astronomy, General Science, Education, Engineering, Physics, Biology, Chemistry), with a strong foundation in scientific principles and methodologies.
  • Licensed Professional Teachers (LPTs) are highly encouraged to apply, as their experience and qualifications can significantly contribute to the success of this initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt to diverse contexts and audiences.
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver, able to approach complex challenges with innovative solutions and a growth mindset.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new technologies and STEM tools, with a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
  • Knowledge of Canva or similar design platforms is an advantage, allowing for the creation of engaging visual materials and presentations.
  • Physically and mentally fit to travel and work in mobile learning environments, with a passion for sharing knowledge and inspiring young minds.
  • Passionate about STEM education and outreach, with a commitment to fostering a love of learning and promoting equity in access to quality education.
