Position: Accounts Payable Officer

Work setup: Permanent Work From Home

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Processing and Payment Management: process all creditor invoices daily; ensure correct general ledger allocations and internal approvals; match creditor invoices to statements including reconciliations; process payments as scheduled; maintain necessary spreadsheets for accuracy; maintain internal records for invoice breakups.
  • Reconciliation and Ledger Management: ensure AP is accurate and up to date; reconcile creditor statements to invoices and resolve discrepancies; assist in month-end closing; perform regular audits of the AP ledger.
  • System Maintenance and Reporting: prepare and maintain reports on invoice processing, outstanding payments, and reconciliations; collaborate with the Finance Manager to streamline processes and improve AP efficiency.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: file all invoices and payment records for easy retrieval and audits; maintain organized records; build relationships with clients and internal teams; identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Flexibility to work beyond AP (assist with Receivables and administrative tasks as needed).
  • 3 to 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably with an Australian client background.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant experience.
  • Experience using Accounting Software; proficiency in MS Excel (LOOKUPs and pivots).
  • Ability to meet payroll activities within strict timelines and to manage workload to meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in using XERO software based on experience in current or previous roles.
