We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of grammar, punctuation, and spelling, as well as a passion for romance novels.

This is a contract role that requires the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be responsible for proofreading manuscripts, maintaining consistency in voice and formatting, and ensuring emotional continuity across every page.

• 2+ years of professional experience in proofreading or copyediting with a focus on contemporary romance
• Advanced command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting
• Eye for detail and respect for the genre's pacing and emotional beats
• Organized and reliable with the ability to balance multiple manuscripts at once

• Fully remote work arrangement
• Contract basis with a compensated trial period
