Cloud Systems Manager

About the Role:

This position is an opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and cloud technologies to build a career driving success in distributed systems.

The team designs, builds, and operates modern infrastructure on private platforms for customers. From Kubernetes to OpenStack and everything in-between, you'll work with the latest technology in a fast-paced engineering environment.

You will manage a growing team responsible for day-to-day managed services of customer environments, including customer service management, operations, and product improvement.

Collaboration with stakeholders, customers, and teams is critical to success.

  • Manage a team to optimize development and operations velocity and quality
  • Identify and measure team health indicators
  • Implement disciplined processes for engineering and operations
  • Represent the team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams
  • Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Meet service level agreements with global customer deployments
  • Deliver quality managed services in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's education in a technology field
  • Proven experience in software delivery using Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar and/or managing operations teams
  • Experience with OpenStack
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Linux system administration skills, Ubuntu/Debian experience a plus
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills
  • Agile software development methodology experience
  • Distributed team management experience
  • Technical aptitude for understanding complex systems
  • Cloud topology and technology experience
