We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Risk & Control Analyst (L6) to join our team at Manulife Financial Corporation.

In this role, you will provide support in the effective management of Operational Risks, including:

  • Monitoring Business Incidents, conducting independent investigations, developing remediation plans, and reporting outstanding events, issues, and CAPs.

  • Supporting the onshore Risk team with KRI Reporting and other Risk reporting tasks.

  • Performing Risk and Control Assessments with the business to identify and assess significant risks and controls in processes, identifying gaps or missing controls, recommending remediation plans, and monitoring/overseeing completion of actions to enhance related processes and controls.

  • Acting as a Risk Champion and Advocate to deliver the message of risk migration and enhancement of the Global Control framework to all aspects of the Investment function/organization being supported.

  • Developing strong relationships with key business stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of the business's risk profile and core processes and controls.

  • Providing Audit support/consultation to Investment teams as requested.

  • Managing project activities associated with Risk and Control initiatives within the function.

  • Handling ad-hoc requests or inquiries as needed.

As a Senior Risk & Control Analyst (L6), you will have:

  • A university degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance.

  • At least 2 years of experience in internal or external audit or risk management.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to conduct risk assessments, identify gaps, and recommend remediation plans.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders.

  • Experience with Asset and Wealth Management industries, Custodian Banks, or Operations knowledge is an advantage.

  • Amenability to work on a nightshift schedule.
