Job Description:

  • Collaborate with category leads to ensure timely supply of requested items on board.
  • Streamline purchase flow processes to achieve desired results, including processing requisitions.
  • Maintain daily communication with vessels to ensure prompt information exchange and address queries/complaints.
  • Continuously enhance service quality and productivity levels; share best practices across teams proactively.
  • Coordinate with vessels, agents, and local ship chandlers for smooth delivery of orders.
  • Resolve supply issues raised directly by the vessel.
  • Provide feedback to Captain and Superintendent regarding local ship chandler for budget control.
  • Process invoices for payment.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze requisitions based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Comply with available frame agreement prices pre-selected by the vessel.
  • Issue the Purchase Order (PO) with all required details (i.e., ETB, agent details) once approved.
  • E nsure that suppliers issue order confirmations.
  • Follow up on delivery two days before ETB.
  • Perform day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure safe and timely delivery of requisitions ordered by the vessel.
  • Respond to requisitions raised by vessels in the company's purchase module (Oracle Supply Chain).
  • Communicate with category leads regarding prices and deliveries.
  • Achieve cost-efficient, safe, and timely operations of vessels in accordance with company policies and procedures.
