Investment Banking Associate Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic investment banking firm as a financial professional. The ideal candidate will support deal execution across M&A and capital markets, working closely with experienced leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research, including competitor analysis and industry research, to create valuable insights into niche subject areas.
  • Lead financial modeling and valuation analyses, utilizing raw financial data from clients to structure transactions, peg working capital, and build LBO models.
  • Develop client-facing materials for M&A and capital markets transactions, including strategic presentations and confidential information memorandums.
  • Collaborate with senior team members and clients to execute transactions and assess strategic alternatives.
  • Manage execution processes to ensure seamless transaction workflows and high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to recruiting and firm-building initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1–2 years in investment banking or comparable experience, such as top-tier consulting or sell-side equity research with relevant transaction exposure.
  • Education: Strong academic credentials are preferred but not required.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in PowerPoint and financial modeling, including LBO, 3-statement modeling, and detailed business plan forecasting.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Ability to adapt, use new tools, and find creative solutions to aid efficiency.
  • Professional Presence: Strong communication skills to engage effectively with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can operate with a high degree of independence.
  • Client Relationship: Directly work with the client, communicate with the client, provide services, and address client-related matters independently.
