Payroll Consultant Job Description

This role involves ensuring successful deployment of the Workday solution to meet client needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in the Workday Payroll product suite.
  • Lead deployments and coach others to gather and document client business requirements, design and configure Workday solutions, demonstrate configurations through prototype systems, assist in testing, and complete knowledge transfer.
  • Work with clients to convert legacy data into Workday.
  • Configure and test integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions.
  • Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model.
  • Resolve complex tasks and facilitate clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices.
  • Maintain ongoing satisfaction and ensure Intecrowd is referenceable and referable once in production.
  • Provide regular status reports to project managers.
Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience implementing Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking Solutions.
  • Current active Workday Payroll Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous consulting experience with a software company.
  • Experience configuring and deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar applications.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Functional experience in one or more areas: Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking.
  • Ability to effectively manage against timelines and goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.

Additional Requirements:

  • Expected travel is +/-30% depending on project.
