Job Opportunity: Creative Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Web Developer to design and build websites using the Squarespace platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Squarespace's capabilities and a keen eye for creating visually appealing websites.

This role focuses on leveraging the power of Squarespace to craft professional websites that meet our clients' needs. We are looking for someone who can manage website projects from concept to launch, ensuring all deadlines are met.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Build new websites from scratch and redesign existing sites using the Squarespace platform
  • Work collaboratively with clients or project managers to understand and implement design and functional requirements
  • Apply modern design principles and best practices for typography, color theory, and layout to create visually compelling, branded websites
  • Manage website projects from initial concept through to final launch, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure websites are fully functional, responsive, and optimized for different devices
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Squarespace development and website design, with a portfolio of previous work to demonstrate proficiency
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in website development
  • Deep proficiency with the Squarespace platform, including its native design features, templates, and e-commerce functionality
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design choices and collaborate effectively with clients
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
