About the Position

We seek a highly skilled and motivated professional with expertise in data engineering on Azure platforms.

This role requires hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining complex data solutions, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and performance.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end implementations, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and drive best practices in data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain large-scale data solutions on Azure Data Platform.
  • Collaborate with external service providers during solution implementation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and integration solutions, integrating data from SAP and Salesforce.
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability across all stages of the ETL lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.
  • Apply data management principles, including lakehouse architecture and best practices aligned with DAMA capabilities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree or further studies in Data Science/Analytics is advantageous.
  • 4-8 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with focus on Azure Data Platform.
  • Strong proficiency in:
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Databricks
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases
  • Solid understanding of data warehouse, lake, and lakehouse architectures.
  • Hands-on experience integrating data from enterprise platforms like SAP and Salesforce.
  • Relevant Azure certification: DP-203 (Associate) or AZ-305 (Designing Solutions).
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and cloud-based ETL development.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Familiarity with DAMA data management principles is beneficial.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in remote teams.
