The Senior Cyber Security Analyst role involves leveraging advanced skills in bot detection, web traffic analysis, and behavioral analytics to identify potential threats within our SaaS security platform.

Key responsibilities include conducting thorough investigations of automated and human threats, analyzing complex patterns and behaviors, and developing actionable insights to improve the security posture.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring events from various sources to detect and respond to emerging threats with urgency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
  • Collecting metrics to measure the efficiency of Security Operations.
  • Auditing security measures to ensure compliance norms are met.
  • Implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Refining processes and updating standard operating procedures.
  • Participating in incident investigations and threat hunting engagements.
Essential Skills:
  • Exposure to web and API security, coding standards, WAFs, threat actors, botnets, and attack mitigation techniques.
  • Hands-on SQL proficiency is essential for data-driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of managing production web environments using tools like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Threat Hunting, web hacking, web data analysis, or WAF experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of web technology and web application security principles.
  • Understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape and attacker mindset.
  • Experience in scripting and programming languages (JavaScript, Python).
  • Interest in staying up-to-date with industry trends and market demands.
  • Demonstrated interest in working with data and metrics applied to security.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a curious and innovative mindset.
Nice to Have:
  • Familiarity with open-source analytics tools like Grafana, Apache Superset.
  • Experience in red-teaming, especially developing bot-nets and whitehat hacking techniques.
  • Knowledge on Web security modules and secure configuration best practices.
  • Proficiency in API test automation and standardization methods.
  • Experience in computer and network security protocols.
  • Integrating security into development workflows and pipelines.
  • Mentorship of development teams and guidance on pipeline evolution.
  • Experience with modern application packaging and supporting tools.
  • Familiarity with ISMS, SOC2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls.
