Lead Financial Specialist

Leads key aspects of the local captive finance operation's general accounting and statutory financial reporting processes. Utilizing a strong background in financial management, financial reporting and planning, with proficiency in handling financial operations in a rapidly growing organization.

  • As subject matter expert, utilizing experience, research and resolve unique, complex and escalated accounting problems, oversee financial functions, streamline processes, and support strategic decisions.
  • Leads maintenance of the general ledger including journal entries, account reconciliations and key aspects of the month end close across all accounting bases.
  • Leads preparation, analysis and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local accounting standards and regulations (e.g., PFRS).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the budgeting process, working closely with Corporate Finance and various departments to create realistic budgets and forecasts.
  • Lead the coordination of audit and review processes, working closely with internal and external auditors.
  • Design and implement internal controls pertaining to accounting and financial reporting processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations under the guidance of the Internal Audit team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or any related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in finance or accounting. Prior experience in a captive or startup company is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Philippine financial regulations, tax laws, and PFRS.
