
Community Development Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Development Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening local ownership and capacity of church partners to minister to children and youth.
You will nurture relationships characterized by mutual respect, trust, and service, facilitating partner relationships through the Partner Management core process.
- Promote awareness about children's needs and prioritize child protection.
- Demonstrate a commitment to serve, respect, and empower the church.
- Strengthen church ownership and capacity through developmental approaches.
- Facilitate reflection and planning with church partners to grow in capacity and maturity.
- Support church strategies to engage parents, caregivers, children, and youth.
- Work with pastors and church staff to identify capacity development needs.
- Support mobilization of local resources and sharing among churches.
- Support the church throughout all phases of the Program Cycle: Needs Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation.
- Coordinate support to each church partner, tailoring facilitation plans to individual needs.
- Oversee cluster operations, fostering relationships and collaboration among churches.
- Facilitate church partner adoption of child protection standards and manage incident reporting.
- Support program and partnership management objectives, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Utilize facilitation practices to identify needs and apply solutions, providing expertise as needed.

Ensure quality and timely delivery of program and partnership management objectives.
Requirements:A bachelor's degree in social work, social sciences, or related fields is required.
Residency in Masbate or Sorsogon, or nearby provinces, with strong local community ties is essential.
Minimum 5 years of experience in community development or partnership management is necessary.
Experience in program cycle management for WASH, Education, and Livelihood projects is preferred.
Proficient report writing and impact assessment skills are required.
Experience in financial management, facilitation, and liaisoning is advantageous.
Ability to develop networks and mobilize resources is crucial.
Active membership in a local church and passion for serving children and churches are desired.
Church leadership or administrative experience is an asset.
Travel Requirements:Up to 50% travel may be required.
