Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

This position requires a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in building and maintaining highly scalable and reliable infrastructure using cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production environment, architecting, collaborating, and being effective. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing high-availability and scalable infrastructure on cloud platforms.
- Architecting and maintaining application infrastructure.
- Collaborating with development teams to define infrastructure requirements and provide guidance on best practices.
- Improving change management processes.
- Providing status updates and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
The following skills and qualifications are required for this role:
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced knowledge of cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
- Solid understanding of source code management with GitHub, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Helm.
- Basic scripting skills in languages such as Node.JS.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like EKS is a plus.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, and security best practices in the cloud environment.
- Knowledgeable with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Loki Stack.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
