Job Description

As a Senior Network Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining our infrastructure equipment from design through implementation and support. You will leverage your technical skills to strengthen our ability to deploy and maintain highly performing and scalable systems.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the evolving design and architecture of reliable and scalable infrastructure.
  • Provide network support to colleagues in Systems, Dev, and Helpdesk engineering teams on ongoing issues and closely aligned troubleshooting procedures.
  • Identify network weaknesses and propose/implement improvements.
  • Design and implement automation.
  • Available on calls as part of 24/7 Network Engineer team.
  • Resolve unexpected issues in real time.
  • Maintain software applications, operating systems, and regular maintenance.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in network and telecommunications engineering including OSPF, BGP routing protocols, IPSec & GRE VPN tunnels, network segmentation (using Juniper & Avaya), Firewall (Juniper-SRX), and VOIP routing.
  • At least 3 years professional network engineering experience.
  • Must have at least 5 years hands-on experience in Juniper SRX.
  • Must have at least 2-3 years hands-on experience in Avaya.
  • Thorough understanding of operating systems Junos and ERS.
  • Experience in performing maintenance tasks on Juniper High availability environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standard network monitoring tools such as Nagios, Icinga, Cacti, Grafana, Influx, logstash, Kibana, etc.
  • Knowledge of PCI standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, etc. as an added advantage. Experience in Network function virtualization. Strong problem-solving and logic skills required.
