Job Overview

The role of a Senior Financial Assistant involves supporting senior financial planners by providing research, analysis, and documentation to ensure seamless client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statement Preparation: Prepare comprehensive Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs).
  • Product Comparison: Conduct product comparisons and strategy modelling for superannuation, insurance, and pension products.
  • SMSF Setup: Assist in the setup and structuring of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSF) for property investment.
  • Financial Planning Tools: Utilize financial planning software such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic for research and documentation.
  • Collaboration with Planners: Work closely with senior planners to implement tailored financial strategies for clients.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial plans and recommendations comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Client Record Management: Maintain accurate client records and liaise with advisers to refine financial strategies.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a paraplanning or similar role.
  • Fundamental Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial planning principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with financial planning tools such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to model financial strategies effectively.
