A leading gaming content brand seeks an experienced Video Editor to enhance its multimedia presence across various platforms. They have built a robust reputation on YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram, and are now expanding into in-depth YouTube videos (10+ minutes) featuring game reviews, recommendations, and listicles, with engaging voiceovers and curated gameplay footage.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing two long-form YouTube videos (10+ minutes) per week using voiceovers and gameplay footage, adding captivating text overlays, basic animations, and smooth transitions to increase viewer engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Edit long-form YouTube videos (10+ minutes) per week
  • Add engaging text overlays, basic animations, and smooth transitions
  • Organize and manage large video files and project assets efficiently
  • Collaborate with the content creator via Discord to receive feedback and align on creative direction
  • Use Google Drive and Workspace to manage files and maintain version control
  • Conduct research on competitors and channel analytics to improve content performance
  • Assist with scriptwriting and topic research as needed

The role requires:

  • Proven experience editing YouTube videos, ideally in the gaming or content creation niche
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects) or other professional video editing tools
  • Strong editing skills, including cutting gameplay footage, syncing audio, and creating engaging motion graphics and text overlays
  • Ability to effectively match voiceovers or commentary with gameplay footage
  • Experience conducting competitor analysis and using YouTube performance data to guide improvements

This is a part-time opportunity with potential for full-time conversion, requiring 20 hours of work per week with flexible remote working arrangements. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to the growth and success of the brand.
