Technical Support Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our customers using WordPress.

This is a fully remote position with a standard 40-hour fixed-schedule work week. While the exact work schedule may vary depending on the client assignment, flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to customers via ticket and live chat systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with WordPress websites, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Create detailed bug reports for developers to aid in issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless handoffs and efficient issue resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with WordPress ecosystem changes, best practices, and security updates.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with WordPress, including extensive knowledge of its ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, as well as WordPress page builders, theme builders, and caching plugins.
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools like WP Debug, browser console errors, and debugging logs.
  • Strong understanding of WordPress security best practices and protocols.
  • Ability to create custom WordPress plugins and themes from scratch (a plus).
