About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Expert to join our team as an Application Penetration Tester. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the security and integrity of our applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Red Team Activities
    • Conduct penetration testing of web and mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
    • Develop and implement strategies for vulnerability management, from identification to remediation and reporting.
    • Maintain active monitoring and detection of operational security risks within the organization.
    • Investigate security incidents and tools to ensure swift resolution and improvement of our security posture.
    • Liaise directly with users on security-related inquiries and concerns during pre-sales and support engagements.
  • Blue Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to implement security best practices and improve workflows.
    • Implement and refine automation processes to detect vulnerabilities as part of the software development lifecycle.
    • Review and address risks and patches for software components used in applications.
    • Facilitate threat modeling as part of the software development lifecycle.
    • Support security awareness training initiatives.
    • Collaborate on implementing necessary controls for certification bodies such as ISO 27001 and SOC Type 2.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in application security testing and assessments.
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity principles, standards, and protocols, including OWASP Top 10 and SANS Critical Security Controls.
  • Experience with application security tools, such as Burpsuite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, and Sonarqube (Ghidra or IDA proficiency is an asset).
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, C/C++.
  • Experience with scripting languages like bash or Powershell.
  • Familiarity with cloud solutions and architectures, particularly AWS.
  • Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Tech industry certifications, such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, are advantageous.
