Job Description

The Pool Attendant is a vital member of our team at CEBU GENERAL SERVICES INC.-NCR, responsible for ensuring the pool area remains clean, safe, and welcoming to guests or residents. They monitor activities in the pool, provide excellent customer service, and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Pool Area Maintenance: The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the pool area, including restrooms, changing areas, deck, and seating. This includes ensuring proper arrangement of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and other poolside equipment, as well as maintaining pool cleanliness by skimming debris from the water, emptying trash, and tidying up regularly.
  • Safety Monitoring: Our ideal candidate will enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment, monitoring guest behavior and responding to any issues, disputes, or unsafe situations. They will also assist lifeguards in emergencies by providing first aid, guiding patrons, or helping with rescues.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service is crucial for this role. The Pool Attendant will greet and welcome pool users, providing information about facilities and services, respond to guest inquiries, provide towels or other supplies, and ensure all users have an enjoyable experience. They may also help set up and manage poolside activities or events.
  • Water Quality: Regularly testing water quality is essential for this role. The successful candidate will check chlorine levels and pH balance, report any maintenance or water quality issues to the management or maintenance staff, and conduct regular inspections of the pool and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a pool or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate should have knowledge of pool safety rules and regulations.
  • They must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and cleaning.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with guests are essential.
Work Environment

This role involves working in an outdoor or indoor pool setting, exposing you to sun, heat, water, and cleaning chemicals. You may occasionally need to lift or move heavy objects like chairs and poolside equipment.
