We are seeking a highly skilled Incident Response Specialist to join our team.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will lead the incident response process, conduct deep-dive forensic investigations, and collaborate with IT and security teams to execute remediation strategies.
- Develop and refine incident response playbooks, ensuring continuous improvement of security operations.
- Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the internal security team and the outsourced SOC.
- Review and validate alerts, escalations, and reports from L1/L2 analysts, ensuring appropriate triage and response actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with security engineers to enhance SIEM detection rules, correlation logic, and automation capabilities.
- Identify gaps in threat detection and recommend security tool optimizations.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and lead lessons learned sessions to improve future response processes.
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives, educating teams on threat trends and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, and threat analysis.
- Proven expertise in handling major security incidents, forensics, and malware analysis.
- Strong familiarity with incident response frameworks, threat intelligence platforms, and cybersecurity threats.
- Hands-on experience with outsourced SOC providers, managing escalations, and ensuring effective response.
