Job Summary

The 3D Image Conversion Specialist role is a high-demand position in the tech industry, requiring expertise in transforming high-resolution 2D portrait images into 3D bas-relief point cloud models for subsurface crystal engraving.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Utilize advanced 3D modeling software to convert 2D images into 3D point cloud models with raised facial features.
  • Enhance image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in final output.
  • Evaluate the compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats (e.g., OBJ) and ensure seamless integration.
  • Diligently scale and align models to match crystal dimensions, guaranteeing precision in production.
  • Perform rigorous quality checks to deliver engraving-ready files that meet specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Mastery of 3D modeling software, such as Blender or MeshLab, and equivalent tools.
  • Proven experience with point cloud generation and manipulation techniques.
  • Familiarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to formatting specifications.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple image conversions efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
