Job Description

Job Title: Business Continuity Executive

The Business Continuity Executive is a strategic role within Humanly, responsible for driving business resilience and ensuring the continuity of our operations in the face of disruptions. This position requires a seasoned professional who can develop and implement comprehensive business continuity plans, lead a team of Business Continuity Officers, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve our objectives.

  • Strategic Leadership: Provides strategic direction and oversight for the development and implementation of business continuity plans.
  • Team Management: Leads a team of Business Continuity Officers and provides guidance, development strategy, and coaching.
  • Emergency Planning: Develops emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, or temporary shut-down of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operation and governance.
  • Compliance: Interprets government regulations and applicable codes to ensure compliance.
  • Program Development: Coordinates and facilitates organization-wide development and implementation of the business continuity program.
  • Collaboration: Collaborates with IT leaders and staff to develop disaster recovery and implement best practices to protect and restore data and systems in the event of natural disasters, viruses, and hackers.
  • Risk Assessment: Conducts risk assessments to analyze potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, security breaches, legal claims, and market disruptions.
  • Testing and Validation: Develops end-to-end BC testing process and provides sufficient subject matter expertise to the Business Continuity Consultants (BCC) and team to execute BC testing.
  • Issue Tracking: Tracks and monitors issues identified during BC implementation, testing, and validates resolution as specified in the policy and procedures.
  • Recovery Operations: Identifies and implements recovery operations and methods to allow the company to function at limited or partial capacity in the event of full or partial damage to infrastructure.
  • Situation Reports: Documents situation reports and lessons learned for actual incidents and exercises, and tracking of training.
  • Awareness Drives: Facilitates roadshows and awareness drives across the organization.
  • Community Standards: Works with health, safety, and security staff and local, state, and federal agencies to align the organization's emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards.
