About the Role

The successful candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience in storage and backup systems engineering or administration, with a strong focus on storage and virtualization platforms. The role involves collaborating with IT teams to understand storage and backup requirements for new applications or systems, providing technical support and training to team members, and working with vendors for procurement, upgrades, and technical support of storage systems.

The selected individual will be responsible for managing storage provisioning, tiering, and data archiving strategies, implementing deduplication, compression, and replication technologies, and maintaining accurate documentation for backup and storage configurations, policies, and procedures. Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to understand storage and backup requirements
  • Provide technical support and training to team members
  • Work with vendors for procurement, upgrades, and technical support
