Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. This role requires technical expertise in Australian taxation, including Company & Trust Tax Returns, Trust Distributions, FBT, CGT Calculations, and Division 7A loans. You will work closely with our offshore bookkeeping team to deliver high-quality results.

About the Role

This is a client-facing position that requires strong communication skills and the ability to mentor and collaborate with junior staff. You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing Company and Trust Tax Returns
  • CALCULATING Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT)
  • MANAGING Capital Gains Tax (CGT) events
  • Ensuring Division 7A loan compliance and structuring
  • Mentoring and collaborating with our offshore bookkeeping team
  • Providing support in Business Activity Statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Proficiency in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and deadlines
  • Xero and XPM proficiency
  • A background in FYIDocs is advantageous
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail
  • An excellent communicator who can train and guide junior or offshore staff
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision
