Our organization is seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to manage and coordinate the movement of goods from one location to another. This role involves utilizing advanced logistics and transportation strategies to ensure efficient delivery and timely arrival of shipments.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent organizational skills, be proficient in transportation software and technology, and have prior experience in a similar role.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation routes based on customer requirements and preferences
- Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders
- Utilize dispatching software and tracking systems to optimize logistics and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Schedule and dispatch trucks for deliveries based on route optimization and customer requirements
- Monitor the progress of shipments and provide real-time updates to clients and drivers
- Maintain communication with drivers to provide assistance and solve any issues that may arise during transit
- Coordinate load assignments and track the status of deliveries to ensure on-time service
- Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to scheduling or deliveries
- Utilize dispatching software and tracking systems to maintain accurate records
- Previous experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or fleet management
- Strong understanding of transportation routes, regulations, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in transportation software and technology
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
