Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Web Engineering Professional to drive excellence across our team, fostering collaboration and innovation in the development of large-scale projects. As a key member of our engineering squad, you will play a pivotal role in driving best practices, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

As a Senior Web Engineer, you will be responsible for owning project development, encouraging rigorous and efficient engineering processes, writing specifications, and understanding potential risks. You will also work to reduce complexity, take on technical lead responsibilities, follow industry trends, and represent your team as a subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance team performance
  • Design and implement well-tested, documented software
  • Debug and fix issues encountered by users
  • Lead code and architectural reviews to maintain high engineering standards
  • Contribute to technical documentation to ensure it is of the highest quality
  • Seek improvements to engineering and operations practices
  • Deploy and operate services developed by the team
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess exceptional academic credentials, a strong track record of delivering results, and a passion for soft skills. You must have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path.

Additionally, you should demonstrate:

  • A keen eye for accessibility and performance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments
Nice-to-Have Skills

While not essential, experience in the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Container technology such as LXD, Docker, and Kubernetes
